TERMS OF THE COMPETITION for state scientific scholarships of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. State scientific scholarships are awarded:
-scientists and researchers who are actively involved in conducting fundamental or applied research in priority areas for the state, training scientific personnel,
-talented young scientists under the age of thirty-five, who are actively involved in research to solve scientific problems and have received recognition from the scientific community.
2. State scientific scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis.
3. State scientific scholarships are awarded for a period of up to one year by order of the authorized body.
4. State scientific scholarships are not awarded to full members of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan who receive lifetime monthly scholarships from the republican budget of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The procedure for the nomination of candidates, registration and submission of documents for the state scientific scholarship
5. The right to nominate candidates for state scientific scholarships is granted to the consultative and advisory bodies of organizations.
6. The decision to nominate a candidate for a state scientific scholarship is made in accordance with the procedure established in the organization where the candidate for the scholarship works.
7. The following documents are submitted to the nominated candidate for a state scientific scholarship:
1) the cover letter of the relevant organization (both copies) is drawn up on the official letterhead of the nominating organization and signed by the head;
2) an extract from the minutes of the meeting of the consultative and advisory body of the organization on the nomination of a candidate for a state scientific scholarship, which is signed by the chairman of the body and its secretary and certified by the seal of the organization that nominated the work.
3) a reasoned petition (recommendation) of the advisory body of the organization, certified by the seal of the organization, contains information about the scientific contribution of the applicant, his achievements and developments that were highly appreciated and found practical application, as well as about the program of scientific activity of the applicant at the time of nomination, indicating the expected results and their scientific and applied significance. The volume of a reasoned petition is no more than 5 pages of printed text.
4) a certificate from the candidate's place of main work for a state scientific scholarship, which contains the following information about him:
a. last name, first name, patronymic;
b. Year, month and birthday;
c. place of main work (study) and position held;
d. length of scientific and pedagogical work or a year of study (for postgraduates and doctoral students);
e. academic degree and time of its award;
f. Home and office addresses and phone numbers, e-mail address, mobile phone.
The certificate is signed by the applicant and is certified by the signature of an employee of the personnel department at the place of main work (study) and stamped with the date of completion.
5) a list of published scientific papers of the candidate for a state scientific scholarship for the last five years, certified by the seal of the organization, as well as prints of the most important works (no more than five). An abstract of up to two pages of printed text is provided for the monograph.
8. Materials submitted to the competition for state scientific scholarships are presented in two identical copies.
9. Each set of listed documents in the above sequence is filed in a binder, which is sealed in a separate envelope and placed in a folder labeled "State scientific scholarships for scientists and specialists who have made an outstanding contribution to the development of science and technology" or "State scientific scholarships for talented young scientists." In the upper part of the folder, the name of the advisory body of the organization that nominated the candidate for the scholarship is indicated, and in the lower part - the surname, first name, patronymic of the applicant.
10. Documents received after the deadline for accepting documents for the competition are not allowed to participate in the competition.
11. Materials submitted to the contest are non-refundable.
12. Competitive materials for state scientific scholarships are designed taking into account the following parameters:
margins on the left - 2.5 cm, margins on the right - 1.5 cm, headers and footers - 2.0 cm;
the font is "TimesNewRoman" in size No. 14;
the line spacing is single;
the paragraph indentation (the indentation of the first line) is 1.25 cm.
