The Ekibastuz Engineering and Technical Institute named after Academician K.I. Satpayev (hereinafter referred to as the EITI named after Academician K.I. Satpayev). Satpayeva) is a subject of the higher education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan and carries out its activities on the basis of a Charter registered with the judicial authorities, as well as a Certificate of state re-registration of a legal entity (series B No. 0456499, registration number 798-1945-16-U-e).
The Institute's accreditation and human resources. In 2021, EITI successfully passed the institutional accreditation in the Independent Kazakhstan Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA). Certificate of institutional accreditation: registration number IA-ANo. 0123. Validity period: from May 22, 2021 to May 21, 2026. Date of issue: May 22, 2021. The educational process at the institute is provided by highly qualified personnel: the total number of teaching staff is 119, of which 81 are full—time employees and 38 are part—time employees. The staff includes 3 Doctors of Sciences, 3 PhD doctors, 34 Candidates of Sciences and 26 masters.

Mission and role in the region. EITI is the only higher education institution in the Ekibastuz fuel and energy region of the country with a population of about 150,000 people. The Institute purposefully provides training of highly qualified specialists for enterprises of the Ekibastuz Fuel and Energy Complex (ETEC) and the whole Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as conducts research and training of scientific personnel.
Forms of education. The Institute implements educational programs along several trajectories:
• On the basis of general secondary education: higher education with a period of study of 4 years.
• On the basis of higher education: obtaining a second higher education.
• On the basis of technical and vocational education (colleges): obtaining higher education according to a shortened program of study.
Graduates. Over the years, the Institute has trained over 10,000 specialists. Its graduates successfully work in the Presidential Administration, akimats, head large enterprises and have become well-known scientists both in Kazakhstan and abroad.
