The K. Satpayev EETI consistently develops scientific and research activities, as evidenced by the growth in the number of patents obtained for utility models or inventions and copyright certificates, reflecting the practical significance and innovative potential of the research conducted. A number of developments have been introduced into the educational process, as well as at enterprises in the Ekibastuz fuel and energy region.

Between 2021 and 2025, there will be a positive trend in the number of articles published in international peer-reviewed scientific journals included in the 1st, 2 and 3 quartiles according to Clarivate Analytics' Journal Citation Reports, or having a CiteScore percentile of at least 35 in the Scopus database in at least one of the scientific fields in the social sciences and humanities, in journals indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection database (Arts and Humanities Citation Index, Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index) database of Clarivate Analytics; as well as the number of monographs and textbooks.

The Institute has seen positive trends in key indicators of research activity, demonstrating the stable development of the Institute's scientific potential and increased efficiency of research and development work.
