The activity of the department "Construction" is aimed at training qualified specialists with relevant professional knowledge and the skills to apply them in practice in the field of construction.
The Department of "Construction" has been functioning since the formation of the EITI. ak. K. Satpayev in 1994. The first enrollment of students was carried out on the specialty "Industrial and civil construction" and "Construction of railways, track and track facilities." Since 2004, in connection with the transition to a credit system, bachelors have been trained in the specialty "Construction" of specialization: "Technology of industrial and civil construction", "Calculation and design of buildings and structures". Over 29 years of existence of the Department of Construction, more than 650 specialists have been trained.
The first head of the department was appointed Ph.D. Sakanov K.T. (1994-1999).
Over the years, the department was headed by Ph.D. Semenkov M.Yu. (1999-2002), Ph.D. Dzhumashev U.R. (2002-2003), Kim W.H. (2003-2006), Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Unaibaev B.Zh. (2006-2011), Ph.D. Ospanova Zh.N. (2011-2013), Ph.D. Unaibaev B.B. (2013-2018), candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Kainazarov A.S. (2018-2020).
Currently, the head of the department is M.Sc., senior lecturer Ischanova A.Sh.
Over the long years of production and teaching activities, a huge contribution to the training of civil engineers, to the formation and development of the department was made by highly qualified teachers - Bizhshtaev K.B., Omashev O.O., Sakin K.S., Nurgaliev K.K. and etc.
Currently, the department has 8 full-time teachers and 5 part-time teachers, including: a prominent scientist, doctor of technical sciences, professor, academician of the National Academy of Mining Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the best teacher of the university - Unaibaev B.Zh., candidates of technical sciences, associate professor Doctorov V.N., and associate professor Unaibaev B.B., professor of EITI Smailova B.O., master of technical sciences, senior lecturer Ishchanova A.Sh., senior lecturers: Kanaeva T.A., Kim E.E., Unaibaeva R.H. Part-time teachers, teachers with extensive industrial experience in the field of construction Zainishev A.B., Dedkov D.P., Eskendirov D.B., Tyulebaev M.S., Atkonova K.N.
The Department of "Construction" has a branch in "Vershina" LLP.
There are Agreements on Practices with the leading construction organizations of the city. The department maintains constant creative relations with research institutes, universities of near and far abroad, such as: TarSU, KarTU, ENU, KazNIISSA, KazGASA.
The material and technical base, scientific and technical literature, modern software and hardware are constantly updated, the research activities of the department are developing.
