History of the Department:

The activities of the department are aimed at training qualified specialists who have relevant professional knowledge and skills to apply them in practice in the field of construction.

The Educational Program 6B07310-Construction implemented by the department is designed to meet the current requirements of the labor market and state educational standards of higher education.

The Department of Construction has been operating since the establishment of the Satpayev Eurasian Institute of Technology in 1994. The first intake of students was conducted in the fields of Industrial and Civil Engineering and Railway Engineering, Track and Track Maintenance. Since 2004, with the transition to the credit-based education system, the Department has been training bachelors in the field of Construction, specializing in Industrial and Civil Engineering Technology and Building and Structure Design. Over the past 30 years, the Department of Construction has trained over 650 specialists.The first head of the department was K.T. Sakanov, Ph.D. (1994-1999). Over the years, the department was headed by M.Y. Semenkov, Ph.D. (1999-2002), U.R. Dzhumashev, Ph.D. (2002-2003), V.H. Kim (2003-2006), Ph.D., Professor B.J. Unaibayev (2006-2011), Candidate of Technical Sciences Ospanova Zh.N. (2011-2013), Candidate of Technical Sciences Unaibayev B.B. (2013-2018), Candidate of Technical Sciences Kainazarov A.S. (2018-2019). Currently, the head of the department is A. Sh. Ishchanova, a senior lecturer with a PhD in Engineering. Over the years, highly qualified lecturers such as K. B. Bizhshtaev, O. O. Omashov, K. S. Sakin, K. K. Nurgaliev, E. E. Kim, and others have made significant contributions to the training of civil engineers and the development of the department.Currently, 8 full-time teachers and 3 part-time teachers take part in the educational process, including: prominent scientist, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, academician of the National Academy of Mining Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, winner of the IOC grant "The Best teacher of the Year" – B.Zh. Unaibayev, Professor of the EITI, Ph.D. Smailova B.O., associate professors, candidates of Technical Sciences, Doctors V.N., Unaibayev B.B., Shalabekov S.R., senior lecturer, Master of Technical Sciences Ishchanova A.Sh., senior lecturers: Kanaeva T.A., Unaibayeva R.H. Part-time teachers: teachers with extensive industrial experience in the field of organization and technology of construction Eskendirov D.B., Tyulebaev M.S., Zainishev A.B.The department's faculty members have a high level of qualifications and engage in active research and collaboration with students, as well as extensive interuniversity connections and international mobility. They continuously improve their teaching materials and collaborate closely with employers.The department maintains constant creative ties with research institutes and universities in Kazakhstan and abroad, such as KarSU, TSU, KTU, ENU, KazNIISSA, and KazGASA.

Students participate in scientific research together with their professors, and the results are published in scientific journals in Kazakhstan and abroad.

The Department of Construction has a branch office at Vershina LLP. There are agreements on professional practices with leading construction organizations in the city, such as Vershina LLP, GIDROPROM LLP, and BERT LLP.

The department's material and technical base, scientific and technical literature, and modern software and hardware are constantly updated in accordance with established requirements, and the department's research activities are actively developing.

 

The Department's mission:

Training highly qualified, competitive specialists in the field of construction who possess deep theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies, and are able to effectively solve modern problems of design, construction, operation, and reconstruction of buildings and structures, as well as contribute to the scientific and innovative development of the construction industry and the socio-economic development of the region and the country.

 

Goals:

  • providing high-quality higher professional education in the field of the Educational Program: 6B07310-Construction and preparing graduates for life and work in the modern conditions of social development.
  • providing each student with ample opportunities to choose the content, form, and duration of their education;
  • ensuring the quality of educational services and cultivating intellectual curiosity, lifelong learning, development of human potential, professional skills, and fostering a corporate spirit;
  •  improving the technology of organizing the educational process by aligning it with the interests of students;
  •  development of innovative activities in education and international cooperation of the department in the field of education and science;
  • development of material and technical, library and information resources;
  • creation of a training, scientific and production center in priority areas of science and technology of the country's construction industry;
  • creation of conditions for personal development and education of students;
  •  improvement of the status of the department's educational program through accreditation;
  •  improvement of the department's staffing, increasing the share of young scientists in the total number of the department's teaching staff;
  •  establishing sustainable scientific ties with key partners and organizations, including foreign ones.

Tasks:

  •  introduction of modern information and communication technologies in the educational process;
  •  improvement of the technology of the educational process organization, its focus on the implementation of the interests of students and employers;
  • development and introduction of innovative teaching methods and interactive services;
  • further development and improvement of the quality level of scientific activity of the department in the field of innovations in construction;
  • expansion of the department's participation in national and international projects, regular implementation of publications on departmental topics;
  • ensuring the employment of graduates in cooperation with employers;
  • joint participation of the department's teachers and students in career guidance work.
