Within the framework of the forum of Higher Education and Science "Human Capital development as the basis of the country's economic growth", a panel session "Improving corporate governance in universities" was held. Experts such as Advisor to the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhamilya Nurmanbetova, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Strategy of KazGUU named after M.S.Narikbayev Ainur Karbozova, member of the Board of Directors of the North Kazakhstan University named after M.Kozybayev Didar Smagulov and Corporate Secretary of Karaganda University named after E.A.Buketov Antonina Kyzdarbekova spoke at the dialogue platform.
The participants of the session raised important issues of corporate governance in Kazakh universities. This includes improving the legislative framework, improving the quality of higher and postgraduate education, as well as increasing the transparency of the work of the Board of Directors in order to improve the effectiveness of corporate governance.
Thus, through a heated discussion of the issues raised by the parties, new approaches and ideas were identified to improve corporate governance in universities in Kazakhstan.
