On April 27-28, 2026, the Republican Student Subject Olympiad in Metallurgy was held in Almaty on the basis of the Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I.Satpayev. 2nd year students Veronika Bliznichenko, Adel Mukhamedzhanova participated from our institute. The girls, despite their young age, showed good results and were awarded with memorable gifts and certificates. . After completing the competitive tasks, we conducted a tour of the laboratories of the university itself: the museum of minerals, laboratories for studying water and soil, and determining the strength of materials. Then we visited the Institute of Metallurgy and Mineral Processing, where we learned a lot of information about the study of materials on expensive equipment, and the principle of conducting research, which aroused great interest among the participants of the Olympiad.
