During the visit, the heads of state held talks, during which the state and prospects of strengthening the Kazakh-German strategic partnership were considered, with an emphasis on expanding cooperation in trade, economic, investment spheres, developing transport, logistics and energy cooperation, as well as deepening humanitarian ties.
As a result, a number of bilateral documents were signed. The Federal President of Germany spoke at the Forum of Rectors of Kazakh and German Universities. In addition, the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Germany took part in the Kazakh-German business forum. The President of Germany took part in the opening of the Kazakh-German Institute of Engineering, as well as in the launch ceremony of trial drilling at the plant for the production of green hydrogen of the Swedish-German company Svevind.
Ekibastuz Engineering and Technical Institute named after ak.K.I.Satpayev also took part in this event along with the leading universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. K.Satpayev EITI has been cooperating for many years with the Technical University of Freiberg Mining Academy (Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg), Professor Carsten Drebenstedt (former rector of the Academy) annually gives online lectures to our students, has visited our university several times, and the teachers of the Institute have repeatedly received
participation in conferences of the Freiberg Mining Academy.
According to the President, Kazakhstan attaches great importance to the development and support of science and technology, as well as strengthening the potential of domestic universities.
– This is my personal priority as the Head of this state. We have a long way to go, but I am absolutely sure that all the obstacles along the way will be successfully overcome. Because our obligations in this regard are absolutely clear. Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to all of you for your willingness to participate in cooperation with our universities. I called on the Ministry of Science and Higher Education to be more active, business-oriented, including to achieve these goals. I always repeat in my speeches that we need to focus on high technologies. We have many universities that provide excellent education, but, nevertheless, we need your experience in this regard. Germany is a leading country in terms of providing education that contributes to a much more advanced technological development of many countries, the President of Kazakhstan said.
