With the onset of warm weather, residents are increasingly thinking about relaxing by the water. However, despite the increase in air temperature to +25 °C, the water in reservoirs remains cold and poses a serious danger to life and health. According to experts, the water temperature in lakes and rivers currently does not exceed +8...+10 °C. Under such conditions, bathing can lead to severe vasospasm, convulsions and temperature shock, which creates a high risk of tragic consequences.
The Emergency Management Department of Ekibastuz warns:
• The swimming season is not open yet;
• It is strictly forbidden to enter the water while intoxicated.
• Children should stay near the water only under the constant supervision of adults.
Even a short stay in the water can be life-threatening.
In case of an emergency, please contact 112 immediately.
